Do you want to learn more about moving into the director seat or what it takes to bring a production to life?
Join Steve Goldklang, who has been directing for Vagabond Players and in other community theatre settings for over thirty-five years, for a 3-hour workshop designed for new directors that will cover the following key topic areas:

  • What does a director do?
  • Selecting and pitching your play to a theatre
  • Creating a vision for your production
  • Assembling a production team
  • Auditions and casting your production
  • Creating a rehearsal schedule
  • The rehearsal process

Attendance is free and open to anyone with some theater background (actors, stage managers, designers) who is interested in moving into a directing position at a community theatre. Attendees are encouraged to be prepared to present their vision/thoughts for a particular production that they would wish to direct.
